Minister Kirby Announces Funding for Child Care Initiative in Channel-Port aux Basques
The Honourable Dale Kirby, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, today announced funding for the Growing Our Future Child Care Cooperative (GOFCC) project in Channel-Port aux Basques. Minister Kirby was joined at the announcement by the Honourable Andrew Parsons, Minister of Justice and Public Safety and MHA for Burgeo - La Poile.
GOFCC has been approved for funding of $305,235 through the Child Care Capacity Initiative through the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. With this funding, GOFCC will develop a new 38-space child care centre for infant, toddler and pre-school children in Channel-Port aux Basques. The new centre will be fully accessible.
