Media Advisory: Minister Gambin-Walsh to Announce Housing Initiatives in Labrador

The Honourable Sherry Gambin-Walsh, Minister of Children, Seniors and Social Development, will join Yvonne Jones, Member of Parliament for Labrador, to participate in three Federal/Provincial opening ceremonies in Labrador.

On Monday, January 23, at 9:00 a.m. there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony to open four supportive living units at Libra House, located at 3-D Lethbridge Street, Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Also on Monday, Minister Gambin-Walsh and MP Jones will attend a dedication ceremony for a new Habitat for Humanity home in Happy Valley-Goose Bay at 10:30 a.m. That event takes place at the Labrador Friendship Centre, 49 Grenfell Street.

Minister Gambin-Walsh and MP Jones will be in Labrador City on Tuesday, January 24, to attend the official opening of Courtyard Place, the Labrador West Housing and Homelessness Coalition’s affordable housing project. The event takes place 11:30 a.m. at 939 Tamarack Drive.
