Committed to Affordable Housing
Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation Consultations Set to Begin
Today, the Honourable Sherry Gambin-Walsh, Minister Responsible for Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation (NLHC), announced the launch of province-wide community stakeholder consultations to review the corporation's programs and services.
"NLHC's vision is that Newfoundlanders and Labradorians with the greatest need have access to safe, secure and affordable housing. In striving for this vision, we must continuously review our programs and services to ensure they are efficiently and effectively serving the needs of our clients. These consultations with our community partners will explore opportunities to improve services."

The review is in keeping with the Provincial Government's goals in The Way Forward: A Vision for Sustainability and Growth in Newfoundland and Labrador. As part of the vision, government committed to conducting a review of NLHC by March 31, 2017, with an aim to ensure the mandate of the organization reflects current priorities and to realize efficiencies, improve services and streamline the organization with no negative impact on clients.

Wednesday, January 11 - St. John's
Tuesday, January 17 - Gander
Wednesday, January 18 - Corner Brook
Monday, January 23 - Happy Valley-Goose Bay
Tuesday, January 24 - Labrador City
Stakeholder sessions are also being planned via Lync for Marystown, Clarenville and Coast of Bays.
