Public Advisory: Maccles River Bridge to Temporarily Close

The Maccles River Bridge in the Newfoundland and Labrador T’Railway Provincial Park will close on September 19 to allow for the installation of a new bridge. The new bridge will open once the construction work has been completed, which is anticipated to be September 22. During the installation there will be no through traffic from Alexander Bay Station to the Town of Terra Nova.

Also, construction upgrades to the 19.8 km section between Alexander Bay Station and Chain Pond Resource Road in the Maccles Lake area has commenced. The upgrades are expected to be completed by the end of September. During this time users should expect delays of up to 30 minutes in duration and are reminded to follow all safety signage.
