Public Advisory: Two Closed Sections of the T’Railway Provincial Park Reopen

Two sections of the T’Railway Provincial Park that were damaged by the Thanksgiving 2016 rain event have been repaired. Sections from Grand Falls-Windsor to Jumpers Brook and from Jumpers Brook to Notre Dame Junction are now reopened to the public.

Users are reminded that repair work is continuing in the other damaged sections and that closures remain in place until repairs can be finalized. More information on continuing repairs and closures can be found below:

  • Sections from Mary March Brook (approximately 45 kilometres west of Badger) to Grand Falls-Windsor remains closed to all users while repairs are ongoing;
  • Sections from Notre Dame Junction to Gander remain closed while repairs are ongoing; and
  • Users of the sections from Gander to Clarenville and from Clarenville to Little Harbour East will encounter closed sections while contractors continue to make repairs.

The Department of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation will continue to provide updates as work is completed and sections of the T’Railway Provincial Park are opened.
