Provincial Government Enhances Application Process for Job Creation Partnerships Program
The Provincial Government is enhancing the application process for the Job Creation Partnerships Program by extending the submission deadline to September 15, 2017. This will allow the program to be more responsive to emerging needs throughout Newfoundland and Labrador, including rural and remote areas.
Job Creation Partnerships support projects that provide Newfoundlanders and Labradorians eligible to receive Employment Insurance (EI) with opportunities to gain valuable work experience and improve their employment prospects. These projects provide benefits to the participant as well as their community.
Budget 2017 provides $7 million through the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Labour Market Development Agreement for the program. Funding is allocated throughout the province based on the share of EI beneficiaries.
