Public Advisory: Removal of Former Placentia Lift Bridge Delayed Until December 10

The Department of Transportation and Works advises mariners that the channel that allows access to the Placentia gut will remain accessible until early December.

The work that would have required the closure of the channel to all navigation needing the bridge to lift has now been delayed until December 10. Motorists will not be impacted.

The department thanks mariners for their cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience this closure may cause. Further advisories will be issued to keep mariners informed, if necessary.
