Public Advisory: Freight Supply this Weekend to Burgeo, Grey River, Ramea and Francois

To help with the response for communities impacted by the closure of the Burgeo Highway, Route 480, two intra-provincial ferries, the MV Terra Nova and MV Marine Voyager, will be tasked to bring freight to the communities of Burgeo, Grey River, Ramea and Francois over the weekend.

On Saturday, supplies and freight will be transported from Hermitage to Grey River and Burgeo. Passengers will continue to be moved but the regular Saturday schedules are impacted.

On Sunday, supplies and freight will be transported from Hermitage to Francois, Ramea and Burgeo. Passengers will continue to be moved but the regular Sunday schedules are impacted.

Users of these ferry services are advised to visit the Newfoundland and Labrador Marine Services Status Board www.tw.gov.nl.ca/ferryservices/ for schedule updates.

Ferry user committees have been notified of the changes to the MV Terra Nova and MV Marine Voyager schedules for this weekend. Ferry captains have also been asked to alert communities on their progress and estimated times of arrival and departure as the days progress.

The MV Terra Nova and MV Marine Voyager will return to their regular schedules on Monday, October 17.
