Media Advisory: Technical Briefing and Media Availability on Repairs to the MV Veteran

Representatives from Damen Shipyards will provide a technical briefing to the media on repairs and return to service of the MV Veteran on Monday, July 4, at 1:00 p.m. The briefing will take place at the offices of the Department of Transportation and Works, 6^th floor, West Block, Confederation Building.

The Honourable Al Hawkins, Minister of Transportation and Works, will also be available to speak to the media.

Repairs to the vessels propulsion system were recently completed and the second phase of sea trials at Fogo Island is nearing completion. It is expected, following a pre-service analysis, the vessel will return to service on Wednesday, July 6.
