Public Advisory: Update Provided on Commencement of Labrador North Coast Ferry Service

Due to ice conditions off the coast of Labrador, passenger and freight service delivered by Nunatsiavut Marine and Labrador Marine Inc. originally scheduled to begin on Monday, June 20, will be delayed by approximately one week.

Passenger service on the MV Northern Ranger will now begin on Saturday, June 25 from Black Tickle, and will then follow the regular posted schedule. Passenger service out of Happy Valley-Goose Bay will begin on Monday, June 27 as per the schedule.

Freight services for the MV Astron will begin Monday, June 27, from Lewisporte.

The Lewisporte and Happy Valley-Goose Bay terminals started accepting freight for the North Coast as of Friday, June 10. As previously announced, all other ports will be open to receive freight one day prior to the arrival of the MV Northern Ranger at each port.

All service dates and ports of call listed above are further subject to ice conditions. Updates will be provided as needed.

Information on schedules and bookings for the vessels is available by contacting Nunatsiavut Marine Inc. at 1-855-896-2262 or by visiting www.labradorferry.ca.
