Public Advisory: Repair Work Continues on the MV Veteran

The Department of Transportation and Works advises that repair work is progressing on the MV Veteran. Repairs to the starboard propulsion unit have been ongoing since last week and additional repairs require the vessel to go to dry dock beginning today (Tuesday, February 16).

Representatives from Damen and Rolls Royce are undertaking the repairs to the vessel. The timeline for full completion is still being determined but initial estimates suggest the vessel will be ready to return to service in March.

The MV Capt. Earl W. Winsor has been repaired after an incident last week in Change Islands. Both ramps on the vessel are now functioning and the ferry is operating on the winter schedule until further notice.
