Media Advisory: Minister and Parliamentary Secretary to Participate in Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games Events

The Honourable Sherry Gambin-Walsh, Minister of Seniors, Wellness and Social Development, and Derek Bennett, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Seniors, Wellness and Social Development, will participate in Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games events in Conception Bay South (CBS) this weekend.

Minister Gambin-Walsh will address attendees and officially declare the games open during the opening ceremonies which begin at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, August 13) at the CBS Arena.

Mr. Bennett will attend a demonstration of traditional Aboriginal sports taking place in the Villa Nova Junior High School gymnasium beginning at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, August 14.
