Investments Improve Quality of Social Housing

Upgrades for Mount Pearl Public Housing Near Completion

Ten social housing units in five semi-detached buildings on Farrell Drive in Mount Pearl are getting $73,000 worth of roofing and interior upgrades. Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation awarded the contract to G.S. Hunt Ltd. last fall.

Work includes replacing existing asphalt shingles, damaged roof sheathing, eavestroughs and attic hatches. Interior renovations include installation of new bathroom fans and range hoods. The work is expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
