Media Advisory: Premier and Minister to Present Seniors of Distinction Awards
The Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Honourable Sherry Gambin-Walsh, Minister of Children, Seniors and Social Development, will present the eighth annual Seniors of Distinction Awards today (Tuesday, October 4). The ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Hampton Inn and Suites, 411 Stavanger Drive, St. John's.
During the event, five deserving seniors from throughout Newfoundland and Labrador will be recognized for their significant contributions to their communities and to the province. The names of this year's recipients were announced on June 17, 2016.
