Background
The Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers is an inter-regional, bi-national, trans-border organization established in 1973 in recognition of the special bond that exists between the six New England states and the five Eastern Canadian provinces. Its members are the governors and the premiers of those states and provinces. The meetings are held alternately in New England and Eastern Canada. The last meeting was held in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador in 2015.

The 40th NEG/ECP Conference provides governors and premiers an opportunity to explore themes of common interest. This year's conference will explore ways in which innovations in technologies, investments, and effective processes grow economic opportunities in the region.
MEDIA WORKROOM
A media workroom will be located in Ballroom C (3rd Floor, John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center) and will be open as follows:
Sunday, August 28: 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Monday, August 29: 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
The media workroom will be equipped with a television monitor and high speed internet access.
A media briefing will take place at 8:30 a.m. in Ballroom C on Monday, August 29.
Parking for satellite trucks and broadcast vehicles is available by special arrangement. Please contact Ed Bryan (Director of Event Operations - Hynes Convention Center) at 617-283-5609 for assistance.

All media must register in the 2nd floor lobby at the registration desk upon their arrival at the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center.
