Media Advisory: Provincial and Federal Governments to Highlight Infrastructure Investments in Central Region

The Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will join Scott Simms, Member of Parliament for Coast of Bays - Central - Notre Dame tomorrow (Thursday, July 14) to speak to recent cost-shared infrastructure investments announced under the Clean Water and Wastewater Fund for the central Newfoundland area.

Premier Ball and MP Simms will be joined by the Honourable Al Hawkins, Minister of Transportation and Works and MHA for Grand Falls-Windsor - Buchans, Jerry Dean, MHA for Exploits, and Brian Warr, MHA for Baie Verte - Green Bay.

The event will take place at Newfoundland Room at the Mount Peyton Hotel in Grand Falls-Windsor, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

As announced on July 7, over $150 million in cost-shared municipal funding has been made available to communities in Newfoundland and Labrador to support water, wastewater and public transit systems, as the result of an agreement to implement the Public Transit Infrastructure Fund and the Clean Water and Wastewater Fund.
