The Honourable Perry Trimper, Minister of Environment and Conservation, has announced the following event relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.
UNDERTAKING REGISTERED:
Cormack Hay Farm (Reg. 1856)
Proponent: Larch Grove Farms Inc.
The proponent proposes to expand their existing farm located within the Town of Cormack by clearing and developing approximately 60 hectares (150 acres) of land for forage production within a 100 hectare (245 acre) parcel. The project will allow the proponent to become self-sufficient in forage and grain production to meet the needs of their dairy herd. Clearing and development of the forage land will occur over a five to seven year period.
The undertaking was registered on August 5, 2016; the deadline for public comments is September 8, 2016 and the minister's decision is due by September 18, 2016.
