The Honourable Perry Trimper, Minister of Environment and Conservation, has announced the following event relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.
UNDERTAKING REGISTERED:
Mount Pearl Paint Booth (Reg. 1847)
Proponent: Wartsila Canada Inc.
The proponent proposes to construct a seven square metre (75 square feet) paint booth inside its existing facility at Donovan's Industrial Park, Mount Pearl. The modular booth will be equipped with an engineered exhaust chamber to filter the air as it is vented to the exterior of the building. It is anticipated that the booth will be used periodically throughout the year for approximately five cent of the time. Construction is scheduled to begin and completed in early August 2016.
The undertaking was registered on June 3, 2016; the deadline for public comments is July 8, 2016; and the minister's decision is due by July 18, 2016.
