Environmental Assessment Bulletin

The Honourable Perry Trimper, Minister of Environment and Conservation, has announced the following event relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

UNDERTAKING REGISTERED:

First Pond Gravel Quarry (Reg. 1842)
Proponent: RPM Construction

The proponent has submitted a proposal to develop a 2.4 hectare quarry near First Pond in the Robert�s Arm area. The work will be seasonal and will involve the excavation of gravel, sand and rock. This proposed undertaking occurs in an area with extensive quarry development already, however, no new road construction is anticipated and no waterbodies will be crossed.

The undertaking was registered on May 25, 2016; the deadline for public comments is June 29, 2016; and the minister�s decision is due by July 8, 2016.
