Environmental Assessment Bulletin

The Honourable Perry Trimper, Minister of Environment and Conservation, has announced the following events relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

UNDERTAKING REGISTERED:

Noel Paul�s Brook Bridge Installation                                                 (Reg. 1836)
Proponent: Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro

The proponent is proposing to construct a bridge across Noel Paul�s Brook in central Newfoundland approximately 30 kilometres south of Millertown. Installation of the bridge will allow for improved accessibility to the road link between the Ebbegunbaeg Control Structure and the Buchans to Badger highway and also allow access which would be otherwise prohibited due to high water levels in the watercourse. Bridge construction, including tendering, pre-engineered bridge fabrication, on-site civil works and bridge installation will take approximately 20 weeks to complete and is expected to be completed in the second half of 2016.

The undertaking was registered on March 2, 2016; the deadline for public comments is April 7, 2016; and the minister�s decision is due by April 16, 2016.

Proponent: Cabot Ready Mix Limited

The proponent, Cabot Ready Mix Limited, has agreed to extend the deadline for the minister�s decision to March 17, 2016.

Proponent: Mills Aquaculture Newfoundland Ltd.

The proponent, Mills Aquaculture Newfoundland Ltd., has agreed to extend the deadline for the minister�s decision to March 14, 2016.
