The Honourable Perry Trimper, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, has announced the following events relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.
APPEAL OF MINISTER'S DECISION:
Placentia Bay Atlantic Salmon Aquaculture Project (Reg. 1834)
Proponent: Grieg NL Nurseries Ltd. and Grieg NL Seafarms Ltd.
The undertaking was released from further environmental assessment on July 22, 2016. On September 19, 2016 the minister received an appeal of that decision. UNDERTAKING RELEASED:
Springdale Junction Snowmobile Trail Reroute (Reg. 1826)

MINISTER'S DECISION EXTENDED:
Indian Brook Area Quarry Expansion and Equipment Storage Yard (Reg. 1846)
Proponent: J & J Paving Limited
The Department of Environment and Climate Change and the proponent have agreed to extend the deadline for the minister's decision to October 14, 2016.
