Supporting Our Cultural Community
Province Provides Funding to Popular Music Festivals
Newfoundland and Labrador boasts a strong and growing cultural industry which promotes tourism and fosters job opportunities across a wide geographic area. Recognizing the importance of supporting this industry the 40th annual Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival and the 16th annual Tuckamore Festival received operational grants from the Provincial Government.
Newfoundland and Labrador boasts a culture that is abundant in original and creative talent, and nowhere is this more evident than at musical performances held right here at home. Year after year, both of these popular festivals continue to feature some incredible performances by local, national and international musicians and composers. As a government, we are pleased to support these events and the gifted musicians who work tirelessly to create and showcase our many unique and incredible musical talents.
