Province Boasts Dynamic Cultural Community

2016 Stephenville Theatre Festival Opens Tonight

The Stephenville Theatre Festival, which is the province’s longest running professional theatre festival, is receiving $40,000 from the Provincial Government. The curtain will rise tonight on the 2016 festival and will run until August 14.

The Stephenville Theatre Festival is celebrating its 38th anniversary and over the years, this highly-anticipated event has become well known for its popular musical theatre. The Provincial Government is pleased to support this festival and those professionals who work so hard to make it such a rousing success.”

The Stephenville Theatre Festival has a long history of enriching the economic and cultural fabric of Stephenville and contributes to the tourism offerings of the entire Bay St. George region. This year, the festival will feature three main stage productions: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Perfect Wedding and Rock “n” Fables.
