Public Advisory: Forest Access Roads in Areas of Central Newfoundland Closing to Vehicle Traffic

Gated forest access roads in a number of areas in central Newfoundland will be closing this week to vehicle traffic until further notice. The roads will remain open to snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles. The closure is necessary to protect the roads from damage during the spring thaw.

Forest access roads in the Gambo, Glovertown and Gander Bay areas will close effective Friday, April 8, however the Mint Brook access road will remain open. For further information, please call the Forestry and Agrifoods Agency Gambo District Office at 709-674-4625.

Forest access roads in Botwood, Glenwood, Birchy Bay and Clarkes Head will close effective Friday, April 8. For further information, please call the Forestry and Agrifoods Agency Lewisporte District Office at 709-535-2706.
