Media Advisory: Minister Byrne to Announce Investment, Expansion at Navigate Entrepreneurship Centre

The Honourable Gerry Byrne, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour, will announce a federal and provincial investment in the Navigate Entrepreneurship Centre on Monday, October 17. The event will take place at 10:30 a.m. at College of the North Atlantic's Corner Brook campus.

Minister Byrne will be joined by Bob Gardiner, Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of the College of the North Atlantic, and Dr. Mary Bluechardt, Vice-President, Grenfell Campus, Memorial University.

The event coincides with Small Business Week in Canada, taking place from October 16 to 22. During the week, the Provincial Government will join entrepreneurs and economic development groups in celebrating the significant social and economic contributions small businesses make throughout the province.

An initiative of Grenfell Campus, Memorial University, and College of the North Atlantic, the Navigate Entrepreneurship Centre has played a strong role in the creation of more than 71 businesses and over 123 full and part-time jobs in the Western region.
