Public Advisory: Provincial Consultations on Apprenticeship Wage Subsidy Conclude

The Department of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour advises that the final session for consultations on the Apprenticeship Wage Subsidy program scheduled for Labrador City tomorrow (Friday, September 30) has been cancelled due to a lack of participants.

People can still submit written comments by September 30, 2016, using the discussion document, available at www.aes.gov.nl.ca/lmda/apprenticeship.html .

Consultations have taken place in St. John's, Grand Falls-Windsor, Happy Valley-Goose Bay and Corner Brook.

The consultations are ensuring stakeholders have an opportunity to provide input on what they feel is currently working with the Apprenticeship Wage Subsidy program and equally, what changes or modifications they would view as necessary given the current and future labour market demands for skilled trades.
