Media Advisory: Minister Byrne to Announce Funding for Apprenticeship Wage Subsidy; Stakeholder Consultations
The Honourable Gerry Byrne, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour, will join labour, employer and industry representatives to announce details of an investment in the Apprenticeship Wage Subsidy program. Minister Byrne will also announce stakeholder consultations to determine if program adjustments are necessary in today's changing labour climate.
The announcement will take place tomorrow (Friday, September 2) at 9:30 a.m. at the Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association, 397 Stavanger Drive, St. John's.
A technical briefing will be held for media at 9:00 a.m. The briefing will provide details of the Apprenticeship Wage Subsidy program.
