Enhancing Infrastructure to Benefit Families and Communities

Work to Begin on Route 230-21 at English Harbour

Work will begin this summer in English Harbour to construct a culvert which will result in the reopening of R230-21 on the Bonavista Peninsula. The tender for the work, valued at $340,000, has been awarded to Sweetland's Aggregate Ltd in Bonavista.

With the construction of an aluminum box culvert at Route 230-21 in English Harbour, the original route for motorists will be re-established.

Budget 2015 allocates more than $204 million for upgrades and enhancements to provincial highways, roads, and bridges. This is part of over $660 million being invested this year in schools, roads, health care facilities and municipal infrastructure.
