Public Advisory: Mariners Advised of Temporary Delays at Placentia Lift Bridge

The Department of Transportation and Works advises mariners of intermittent delays to navigation through the channel at the Placentia Gut between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, and Monday, June 8.

The delays are necessary as part of the continuing construction of the new lift bridge across the Placentia Gut. The delays are anticipated to be up to two hours and will only affect marine traffic. Vehicle traffic on the existing bridge will not be impacted.
