Public Advisory: Reminder of Outer Ring Road Clean Up and Closure on June 14
The Department of Transportation and Works will undertake a clean up of the Outer Ring Road between Logy Bay Road and Portugal Cove Road on Sunday, June 14. To facilitate the clean up efforts and to ensure the safety of workers and motorists, the road will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on June 14. Motorists are advised that barricades will be erected the morning of the clean up.
Electronic signs will be placed along the Outer Ring Road later this week to provide advance notice of the June 14 road closure.
A second closure and clean up will be scheduled for July for the section between Allandale Road and Topsail Road. Advance notification of this clean up will also be provided as the closure approaches.
The Department of Transportation and Works reminds everyone to dispose of their garbage and old household items in a responsible and appropriate manner. All residents have a responsibility to protect the environment and to be mindful of the safety of crews and fellow motorists.
The Department of Transportation and Works apologizes for any inconvenience to motorists and appreciates their patience and cooperation during these clean up efforts.
