Investments Continue in Social Housing

NL Housing Awards $692,000 Contract to Upgrade 16 Homes

The following is being distributed at the request of Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation:

Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation has awarded a $692,000 contract to Newfound Roofing Ltd. to provide exterior renovations to 16 social housing homes in the Rabbittown neighbourhood of St. John’s.

The units are situated in three buildings on Graves Street, Empire Avenue and Freshwater Road. The renovations and upgrades will include siding, window, door and roofing replacements. The anticipated completion date for this project is January 2016.

In 2014-15, Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation is investing $10 million to renovate another 450 social housing homes throughout the province.
