Upgrades Enhance Public Housing

Further Renovations Improve St. John’s Social Housing

Newfoundland Roofing Ltd. has been awarded a $382,000 contract to upgrade eight Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation properties at St. Teresa’s Court and Pondview Court in St. John’s.

The upgrades will include siding, window, door and roofing replacements, interior wall repairs and painting, along with plumbing and general electrical and ventilation upgrades – such as new heat-recovery systems and new bathroom, kitchen and dryer exhaust fans. The anticipated completion date for this project is November 2015.

In 2014-15, Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation is investing $10 million to renovate another 450 social housing homes throughout the province.
