Social Housing Investments Continue
NL Housing Awards Contract for Roof Replacements
Newfound Roofing Ltd. has been awarded a $240,000 contract to replace the roofs and undertake related upgrades on two Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation buildings on Buckmaster's Circle and Navy Street in St. John's.
"These upgrades are part of Newfoundland and Labrador Housing's annual Modernization and Improvement Program and its commitment to a continuous process of renovating social housing infrastructure throughout Newfoundland and Labrador."

Flat roofs on the two buildings will be replaced with peaked roofs and the chimneys will be replaced. The work includes alterations to the bathroom and kitchen ventilations systems and related repairs. The anticipated completion date for this project is February 2015.
In 2014-15, Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation is investing $10 million to renovate 450 social housing units throughout the province.
