Enhancing Services for Families and Communities

Provincial Government Expands Marystown Government Service Centre

The Government Service Centre in Marystown now provides a full suite of motor registration division services as a result of recently completed changes. The Honourable Dan Crummell, Minister of Service NL, officially launched the expanded service at the centre in Marystown today. Minister Crummell was joined by the Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Seniors, Wellness and Social Development and MHA for Burin-Placentia West.

“This expansion reflects our government’s commitment to providing convenient, accessible services for Newfoundlanders and Labradorians, and will benefit people throughout the Burin Peninsula. I thank the Service NL staff in Marystown for making this expansion happen quickly and seamlessly and for their ongoing efforts to provide a high standard of service every day.”

An investment of approximately $50,000 in equipment and training now makes it possible to issue driver’s licences and licence plate stickers in-house, which significantly enhances the ability to provide motor vehicle services in the region.

“This addition will allow the Marystown Government Service Centre to provide a new standard of service to the residents of the entire Burin Peninsula. Our government heard the demand for enhanced service at this location, and we responded with new equipment, training, and additional staff to meet that demand and improve service for residents.”
