Provincial Government Reaches Tentative Agreement with Physicians
The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador has reached a tentative agreement on insured fees, salaries and benefits with the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association.
“We are pleased to have reached a tentative agreement with the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association that demonstrates the benefit of two parties working together in the spirit of cooperation. We will continue to work with our partners to ensure our common goal of delivering quality health care to Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.”

The Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association will hold a series of meetings with members this week and next to present the details of the tentative agreement leading up to a ratification vote in mid-October.

I want to take this opportunity to congratulate both parties on the work done to date as we move into the next step in the process of finalizing this agreement.”

The Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association represents approximately 1,300 practising physicians across the province.

Details of the tentative agreement will be released subject to ratification.
