Investments to Support the Health and Well-Being of Seniors
Funding Supports Repairs at Masonic Park Nursing Home
The Provincial Government is providing funding of $150,000 for Masonic Park Nursing Home in Mount Pearl. This funding is being used to carry out roof repairs for the facility and represents the latest installment in ongoing supports for the health and well-being of seniors in long-term care in Newfoundland and Labrador.
“Government recognizes the growing demand for high quality long-term care in our province. That is why we continue to allocate a significant portion of our annual budget to support our long-term care strategy. This latest investment for Masonic Park Nursing Home comes as a result of that strategy.”
- The Honourable Steve Kent, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health and Community Services
This investment is one of a number of recent investments in long-term care infrastructure in Stephenville Crossing, Springdale, Gander, Happy Valley-Goose Bay and the Northeast Avalon region and other areas across the province.
“As part of Eastern Health’s strategic priorities, we are committed to providing quality and safe care to our residents. This Provincial Government investment will help enhance both the physical environment of the facility and the comfort of those living there.”
- Alice Kennedy, Vice President Responsible for Long-Term Care, Eastern Health
