Media Advisory: Minister to Address Gutsy Walk for Crohn’s and Colitis
The Honourable Steve Kent, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health and Community Services, will address the 20th annual Gutsy Walk for Crohn’s and Colitis on Sunday, June 7. The event will take place at Paradise Elementary School on Karwood Drive at 2:00 p.m.
Crohn’s and Colitis Canada is a volunteer-based organization dedicated to finding cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Started in 1996 as the Heel ‘n’ Wheel-a-Thon in 24 communities, the Gutsy Walk has since grown to involve over 60 communities with $29 million in funding raised to date.
