Public Advisory: Bridge Closure on Red Indian Lake South Side Forest Access Road

The Forestry and Agrifoods Agency advises that the Tulks Valley Bridge, located at the south end of Red Indian Lake on the Red Indian Lake South Side Forest Access Road, has been closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic until further notice due to undermining of one of the bridge abutments. Signage has been posted in the area.

Access to the area is still available via the Star Lake Resource Road on the Buchans side and via the Red Indian Lake South Side Forest Access Road on the Millertown side of Red Indian Lake, however, road users are advised that they cannot make the complete loop around Red Indian Lake.

Residents in central Newfoundland seeking additional information can call the Springdale District Office at 709-673-3821. Residents in western Newfoundland can contact the St. George’s District Office at 709-646-3720.
