Media Advisory: Premier and Minister to Provide Update on Open Government Initiative

The Honourable Paul Davis, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Honourable Steve Kent, Deputy Premier and Minister Responsible for the Office of Public Engagement, will provide an update on the province's Open Government Initiative on Monday, September 28. The announcement will take place at 10:00 a.m. in the Media Centre, Ground Floor, East Block, Confederation Building.

The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador launched the Open Government Initiative in March 2014, joining several other governments across Canada and 65 countries around the world in committing to the principles of transparency, accountability, participation and collaboration. Newfoundland and Labrador's Open Government Initiative is built on a foundation of four key pillars: Open Information, Open Data, Dialogue and Collaboration.
