Media Advisory: Minister to Address IPAC National Annual Conference

The Honourable Steve Kent, Deputy Premier and Minister Responsible for the Office of Public Engagement, will address the 67th Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC) national annual conference today (Tuesday, August 25) in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The event will take place at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel, with Minister Kent speaking at approximately 4:00 p.m. Atlantic Time.

The theme of this year's conference is Governing in the now: Initiate. Integrate. Innovate. Participants will focus on working with governments; engaging public servants, citizens and communities; and enabling the private and non-profit sectors to assist the public sector in meeting the complex challenges and opportunities facing government and society today.‎ In his remarks, Minister Kent will speak about how collaborative research in the Office of Public Engagement is informing government policy through the Provincial Government's Open Government Initiative.
