Media Advisory: Premier to Participate in Community Events in the Central Region
The Honourable Paul Davis, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will attend a series of community events in the Central Region beginning tomorrow (Saturday, August 1).
Premier Davis, along with council members from the Town of Badger, will serve breakfast to residents at the Badger Day Breakfast tomorrow (Saturday, August 1).Breakfast commences at 8:30 a.m. at the Badger Community Centre, 17 Maple Street.Beginning at 1:15 p.m., the Premier will participate in the official opening ceremonies of the Caplin Cod Festival at the Green Bay South Arena in Triton and at 5:30 p.m., will attend the Lucky Strike Festival Community Dinner at Lakeside Academy in Buchans. Premier Davis will be joined at these events by the Honourable Susan Sullivan, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development and MHA for Grand Falls-Windsor-Buchans.
On Sunday, August 2, Premier Davis will tour the Bishop's Falls Fire Hall at 2:30 p.m. and will attend the Great Big Scoff and Newfoundland Soiree at 6:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion in Botwood. He will celebrate Botwood Day on Monday, August 3, beginning with a community breakfast at 8:30 a.m. at the Botwood Lions Club, which will be followed by the Botwood Day Opening Ceremonies at 11:45 a.m. at the Botwood Airbase. Premier Davis will be joined by Exploits MHA Clayton Forsey at these events.
