Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Aboriginal Affairs Working Group Meeting in Yellowknife
The Honourable Keith Russell, Minister of Labrador and Aboriginal Affairs, will attend a meeting of the Aboriginal Affairs Working Group, May 11 and 12, at the Explorer Hotel in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Topics on the agenda include ending violence against Aboriginal women and girls, Aboriginal education, Aboriginal economic development, Aboriginal housing, and disaster mitigation, emergency management and emergency measures in Aboriginal communities.
The Aboriginal Affairs Working Group comprises provincial and territorial ministers responsible for Aboriginal affairs and leaders from five national Aboriginal organizations.
