Premier Announces Temporary Ministerial Changes
The Honourable Paul Davis, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, today announced the following temporary changes in Cabinet responsibilities to cover the portfolios held by the Honourable Susan Sullivan, who will be on medical leave for several weeks.
- Premier Davis assumes the role of acting Minister Responsible for the Status of Women.
- The Honourable Steve Kent, Deputy Premier, Minister of Health and Community Services and Minister Responsible for the Office of Public Engagement, becomes acting Minister Responsible for Government Purchasing Agency.
- The Honourable Derrick Dalley, Minister of Natural Resources, becomes acting Minister Responsible for Education and acting Minister Responsible for Francophone Affairs.
- The Honourable Sandy Collins, Minister of Child, Youth and Family Services and Minister Responsible for the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission, becomes acting Minister Responsible for Early Childhood Development.

The appointments were effective April 14, 2015 and will continue until Minister Sullivan’s return.
