Media Advisory: Premier to Attend Event to Name 2016 Summer Games Host Committee

The Honourable Paul Davis, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will join Eric Schibler, Chair of the 2016 Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games, tomorrow (Friday, January 16), to announce members of the host committee for the games, which will be held in Conception Bay South, August 13-21, 2016.

The event takes place at the Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Games are held every two years, alternating winter and summer, and are co-ordinated by the Department of Seniors, Wellness and Social Development in conjunction with Sport Newfoundland and Labrador and provincial sport organizations. Conception Bay South last hosted the games in 1996.
