Supporting Economic Development in Rural Newfoundland and Labrador

Provincial Government Invests in New Opportunity in Arnolds Cove

The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador is supporting the Town of Arnolds Cove in the development of an industrial park with an investment of approximately $285,000. Once complete, the park, which sits adjacent to various major industrial infrastructure, such as the North Atlantic Refinery, Whiffen Head Transshipment Terminal and the Bull Arm Fabrication facility, will benefit the businesses that service the region.

Our government is proud to support municipalities in their efforts to develop infrastructure that supports economic development and diversification. The Town of Arnolds Cove recognizes their strategic location and the advantage it presents for local businesses to capitalize on supplier development opportunities. We are pleased to invest in this initiative which can help expand the economic base of the town and service operators in the region.
- The Honourable Darin King, Minister of Business, Tourism, Culture and Rural Development

This investment, along with approximately $285,000 from the Town of Arnolds Cove, will go toward the development of nine lots.

I wish the Town of Arnolds Cove success as they move forward with the development of an industrial park. This is an excellent project which can provide services to surrounding industrial clients, and will help create economic opportunities for the town.
- Calvin Peach, MHA for Bellevue

The park will be constructed on 20 hectares of land along Whiffen Head Road within the town.

Our town council, business community, and other stakeholders are excited to move forward with this important infrastructure project, and the support of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador makes this possible. Once complete, this park will be a significant asset for Arnolds Cove and the surrounding region.
- Basil Daley, Mayor of Arnolds Cove
