Public Advisory: Provincial Government Announces Call for Applications Under Job Creation Partnerships Program
The Department of Advanced Education and Skills is now accepting applications under the Job Creation Partnerships (JCP) Program for the coming year.
Again this year, there are two application deadlines:
- March 31 for projects intended to be carried out starting early summer, and
- June 30 for projects to be carried out in the fall.
Interested organizations can access the application form at: www.aes.gov.nl.ca/lmda/jcp.html and submit to a local Advanced Education and Skills Employment Centre.
JCP is funded through the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Labour Market Development Agreement (LMDA). Funding is provided through direct contributions to sponsors or through the extension of Employment Insurance (EI) benefits for project participants and may include in-kind or in-cash contributions from sponsors.
Approvals of projects are based on considerations such as the number of EI eligible individuals in the application area, the value of the work experience for participants, and labour market information.
