Public Advisory: Additional Transportation to be Provided to Persons
Impacted by Washout on Burgeo Highway
The Department of Transportation and Works is advising that in addition to the helicopter service that has been coordinated to transport persons across the washed out area on the Burgeo Highway, a 10-person shuttle service is available to transport passengers to Stephenville and Corner Brook.
The service will depart the north side of the washed out area and will return from the lower level of the Mill Brook Mall. Scheduled departure times are below.

Weather permitting and barring a medical emergency, the helicopter will be operating from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. today and from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. tomorrow.
There is no charge for this service. Reservations can be made with Gateway Bus Lines at 1-866-695-9700 on a first come, first served basis. Passengers are responsible for coordinating their own transportation to and from the washed out area at Wooden Tilt Brook, which is approximately 25 kilometres north of Burgeo.
Residents with medical appointments outside of the community this week are reminded to contact the Calder Health Centre at 709-886-3350, ext. 4111.
