Tender Awarded to Pavex Limited for $37.2 Million Road Work Project in Labrador
Pavex Limited has been awarded a contract to complete $37.2 million in improvements to key transportation infrastructure in Labrador.

Scheduled for completion in 2014, this contract includes paving of 60 kilometres between Happy Valley-Goose Bay and Churchill Falls, asphalt repairs on Hamilton River Road and widening and paving of three kilometres at the Trans Labrador Highway/Happy Valley-Goose Bay intersection. The contract also includes paving of 80 kilometres between Happy Valley-Goose Bay and Cartwright Junction, which will be completed in 2015.

Budget 2014: Shared Prosperity, Fair Society, Balanced Outlook provides $76.3 million for the Trans Labrador Highway.
QUICK FACTS
- Pavex Limited has been awarded a contract to complete a $37.2 million road work project in Labrador.
- The paving of 80 kilometres from Happy Valley-Goose Bay towards Cartwright Junction will be completed in 2015. Other elements of the contract will be completed in 2014.
- To date, more than $500 million has been invested in the Trans Labrador Highway and has resulted in 463 kilometres of paved highway that connects communities and creates new opportunities.
