Public Advisory: Temporary Ferry Reassignments for Bell Island and St. Brendan’s

The Department of Transportation and Works advises that the MV Flanders has come out of service to undergo necessary mechanical repairs. The Flanders is expected to be out of service for several days. Ferry users are advised of the following temporary ferry reassignments:

• MV Galatea will continue to service Bell Island as weather permits.
• MV Grace Sparkes will join the Galatea on the Bell Island route as soon as possible.
• Contingency helicopter service will be provided to St. Brendan’s in the interim.

Further updates will be provided as required. The Department of Transportation and Works apologizes for any inconvenience to ferry users and appreciates their patience and cooperation during this temporary reassignment of vessels.
