The following is being distributed at the request of the Advisory Panel on the Pan-Atlantic study of the impact of recent changes to Employment Insurance:

Public Advisory: Update on Consultation Sessions

Stakeholders and members of the general public are being invited to make submissions explaining how they have been affected by changes to Employment Insurance.

Due to a lack of response, the sessions planned for L’Anse au Clair, Corner Brook and Grand Falls-Windsor (January 20-22) have been cancelled.

Interested parties are encouraged to provide information to the panel by participating in a telephone survey designed to capture information that will be used to assess the impacts of the changes. Registrations to participate in the survey will be accepted until January 18 by calling 1-855-681-8210 or by registering online at www.cap-cpma.ca.

As a reminder, written submissions will be accepted by mail or email until January 31, 2014.

For details on the consultation process and to review the discussion paper prepared for the consultations please visit the Council of Atlantic Premiers website www.cap-cpma.ca.
